Missana is a group of welcoming people, passionate about the world of upholstery. For more than 20 years, our workshop has produced a multitude of ideas, proposals and projects that express our vision and traditional way of working through our products. Two complementary styles, combined and improved, make it possible to offer our demanding public elegant and distinguished but at the same time contemporary furniture. The Pigro sofa and armchair by the Italian Studio Pastina have been designed emphasizing its three differentiated parts: a metal frame, a seat and a backrest. This unique combination of the metal frame and the cushions of the Pigro collection quietly recalls the 1920’s modern design classics with a contemporary aesthetics. Its essential yet effective simplicity gives the opportunity to play with Pigro’s appearance and to define the look of the piece through multiple combinations of colors and textures. Like a chameleon that changes its colour, Pigro is extremely versatile and able to naturally integrate in many decorative styles and environments. The Pigro collection has the allure of comfort and coziness. Its soft and curvy cushions invite you to seat and relax.

Alce, a collection of avant-garde and austere sofas with an Australian soul. With its spotless aesthetics owes its profound personality to the simplicity of its lines, to the rounded shapes that make it so unique and to the different independent elements that perfectly combine and complement each other . Its exclusive legs in the shape of an antler are what has given the idea for the name to the product. Its designer was inspired by three basic concepts of all his creations, individuality, simplicity and design customization, the result, an striking and trendy product due to its incredibly attractive aesthetics, its color, textures and striking shape.

The new addition to The Novelties catalogue is Alice, an armchair that leads us directly to the fun worlds of Alice in Wonderland. Inspired by the Lewis Carroll story, Alice is the latest design by Pepe Albargues for Missana. Modern & sleek, Alice offers the option of a round or square puff. Fitting every space and creating an outstanding and original duo that any character in the Lewis Carroll story would have loved to try.

Cotton is an exclusive design that makes us easily travel to a dreamlike world through its trendy and fun design. Cosmo brings back the traditional outline of a sofa at the same time that offers a multifunctional and versatile product. It’s a sofa that knows how to adjust to different spaces and be suitable to everyone’s needs. Making the most of the meticulous handcrafted work of Missana through their fine finishings and their care for detail, combining the manual production and the use of the numerical control precision system, which results in the perfect equilibrium between warmth & vanguardism. Cosmo is more than the sum of its different parts, it’s a “whole”, a perfect combination of elements that results in a unique typology.

Mamut is an armchair designed from a polished robustly shape. Inspired by the prehistoric animal of the same name it’s a versatile piece of furniture that easily adapts to any space. The main feature of Mamut is that it’s divided into 2 parts: the outside is made of upholstered beech wood, lightly faceted and carefully handmade, the inside is made of 1 or 2 padded cushions that give this magnificent piece quite a cozy feeling. The contrast between the different fabrics used in the backrest and seat gives more versatility to the whole element. The conical shape of its legs emulates a mammoth’s leg, with bigger contour on the top and smaller at the bottom.

Oslo chair was the first product Missana did develop for their latest collection, The Novelties, an on growing compilation of the most vanguardist selection of products created by emergent designers. This piece of art, designed by Studio Missana, magically combines the Mediterranean character with the Nordic functionality, resulting in the perfect balance between aesthetics and comfort.

Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald published his “The Great Gatsby” while he lived in Paris during the crazy twenties from the French capital. For most of his readers this novel is the masterwork of his acclaimed repertoire. Gatsby is also the mastercouch from Missana. Supported by a compact and impeccable design, it represents the perfect fusion between sophistication and naturalness. A product for the more demanding, looking to distinguish, without being excessive. Because on some occasions a sofa is not just a piece of furniture, but a lifestyle.

While thinking about Tibet, you imagine a mystical place where thousands of monks are living and meditating. Alexandra David Néel, had this clearly in mind when she reached Tibet in 1926. She was the first women in history to do this. The sofa Tibet is a piece of furniture to discover. Warm, but at the same time really fresh, it contains characteristical lines and a delicate finish, a mix that results in a comfortable and cozy product. The Parisian explorer lived for 100 years. We don’t know if the Tibet couch could endure that long, but what we know for sure is that once you try it, it would be difficult to live without it.

Parker is a couch with very detailed finishing and straight lines that invite you to sit down and watch the time passing by. It is a perfect complement with a glass of wine or something to eat while you relax enjoying Charlie Parker’s work. As is the music of the saxophonist from Kansas, the sofa is crafted to be enjoyed. Its modern tones confer a nice appearance, together with its soft touch, comfort and long durability; create a sensation of calmness and repose that result in a harmonious and unique character.

It is said that the human being has three basic personalities; the child, the father and the adult. Like them the Novak series also contains three personalities: the first one would be a sofa with chaise longue that corresponds to the child, who is looking for entertainment and discovers new things. Secondly, the armchair with footstool for the father, who needs to disconnect from daily routine through reading or television. Lastly the couch of three seats perfect is for more serious issues, like meetings or receptions with friends.

A woman of Paris was the first time when Charlie Chaplin took his place behind the camera. It was 1923 and to the people used to the performances of the great actor, it was a bit strange to see a movie of him, without him acting. It became a critical success and influenced those who came later. The armchair that has his name was designed by Pepe, and could be the one used as a seat by the American film director during the filming of his movie. Elegant, fashionable and with attractive colours, doing the unexpected sometimes results so striking that it creates a trend. As Chaplin did with that movie, so as Pepe has done with this armchair.

Canoa Canoa is the latest design by Pepe Albargues for Missana. Once upon there was an unknown and misterious British Island which was inhabited throughout the time by the most brilliant minds on the planet, minds that witnessed unique and historical events. The island was named “Vectis” by the Romans, and it was not only a meeting point for some of the libertarian and anti-war movements, it also was the summer residence for the English Royal Family and it even was mentioned aBeatles song. Last summer, Pepe Albargues visited the anciently called Island of Vectis, the biggest island of England, and inspired by its history designed the Vectis armchair, a piece that perhaps reminds us of the ancient Rome, or may be to some details of the anti-war and pacifist movements, we are not sure, but what we do know as a fact is that the Vectis armchair, with its inviting appearance, would be happy to accomodate any of the inhabitants of the Island, offering them a cosy place to rest at the highest comfort.

BALEA BAR STOOLS Muka was inspired by the whales that came from the North Sea to the Basque coast when designing these Nordic style bar stools. “Balea” means whale in Basque, and the rounded shapes of this stool remind us indeed to a whale´s belly. The decorative horizontal seams of the seat also resemble the belly of these cetaceans. Their soft and organic lines with Nordic style show us the wooden legs with a very natural and warm finishing, the upholstery of the seat combines amazing textures with a cheerful splash of color. The legs are made of solid rounded oak or beech wood. In this way we were able to maintain, in both, the materials used and the making process, the identity and the caracter of a handmade product. Our well known Oslo chair, with its perfect fusion between Mediterranean freshness and Nordic functionality, returns, this time with his younger brother, the Oslo barstool. The Oslo barstool, sames as its prequel, seeks to generate the perfect balance between comfort and aesthetics, fulfilling the requirements for nowadays interiors.

MISSANA adds a new typology to The Novelties Catalogue. Pause by PerezOchando is a collection of floor and wall acoustic panels that with its upholstered surfaces will help to control the background noise and to create an improved environment in your projects. Its modularity, simple lines and timeless design makes Pause an outstanding piece for different spaces. A very functional solution perfect for any office, bar, restaurant, waiting area or any other public space where it will absorb noise bringing silence, privacy and comfort by creating better atmospheres for concentration.

The new Ara sofa and ottoman give continuity to the characteristic aesthetics and functionality of the collection, the high back panel creates a cosy space by increasing the sensation of privacy and silence in large or busy spaces. It isolates users both acoustically and visually from their surroundings allowing them to work in a quiet and concentrated way. The Ara sofa designed by PerezOchando allows to create flexible combinations for dif-ferent atmospheres, bringing cosiness and comfort into offices, open plan spaces and public areas. You can place the Ara sofa on its own or back to back with another sofa to set up a casual working zone where you can sit together and share your "bubble". Two sofas can also be placed facing each other to shape up an informal meeting corner for up to four people. Combine it with the Ara armchair and the Ara ottoman for endless varia-tions.

Nest by Paula Rosales has a versatile design which allows to create different composi-tions that grow as constellations while inviting their users to interact. This collection of chairs, stools, bar stools and puffs has been designed to fulfill the needs on different contract environments such as restaurants, bars, hotels, common areas,… On Nest, the circle becomes the main shape, the common element that connects, at-tracts and traps. The pieces have been inspired by the fractal harmony of nature, each seat replicates the circular structure on a different scale. Nest has the ability of providing all kind of spaces with a touch of warmth, by generat-ing cozy atmospheres that are favorable to your well-being, from bars where you can have a drink sitting comfortably in a stool to large compositions in common and open plan areas.

Trampolín is a chair which structure dares to surprise everyones perception. The young design studio Cuatro Cuatros based their idea in a very functional, comfortable and schematic product, with a high contrast between horizontal and vertical perspectives that results in amazing diagonal lines that make it looks like the chair is actually suspended somehow. A great variety of metal and fabric finishings make it suitable for every space, and the fact that it is stackable and that both seat and back covers are removable are what takes Trampolín even closer to perfection. Cuatro Cuatros knew how to completely fulfil Missana’s requests without leaving aside their very strong essence.

The sophisticated and architectural Boomerang Collection, inspired on the object of the same name, includes a bench and a chair, their minimal design and clean aesthetics make them suitable for any space. The elegant shape of Boomerang results in light, ergonomic and comfortable products, a sophisticated set with very schematic lines which backrest and seat seem to be beautifully suspended away from each other by a thin invisible string

Ara is more than an armchair, it’s a multifunctional space that allows everyone who tries it out to discover an innovative product in its shape and also in its way of use. Ara borrows its name from a type of bird from South America, a very characteristic parrot that can talk and communicate. This armchair gives its user the privacy that the new forms of communication very often require, it’s the ideal armchair to manage our day to day tasks, like dealing with emails, make conference calls or just enjoy a little privacy and relaxation time that we all well deserve after a long day at work. Its metalic tube structure is sorrounded by an evolvent backrest and a super comfortable seat. Ara invites you to take a seat and feel its wam embrace.

Quetzal surprises, attracts and traps. Designed by the renowned French designer Marc Venot, who joins the The Novelties catalogue to show that an armchair can become a very visual and interactive product that can also be integrated into any space due to its color duality. With the same magical feeling and the same admiration with which we watch the Quetzal bird taking off and flying into the sky in its natural habitat in the tropical regions of South America, we watch the Quetzal armchair flying into Missana. Marc Venot has achived those very same feelings with his design through a great visual impact, Marc’s Quetzal changes the color of its feathers in the blink of an eye, due to 14 overlapped bicolor pillows. The colors and the fabrics have been carefully selected so all the possible combinations result in harmony and in extraordinary sensations, making real and bringing to live any space that decides to have Quetzal among its furniture.

Missana completes its Boomerang collection with the arrival of this new product created by the designer Cardeoli. The Boomerang bar stool, same as the other 2 pieces of the Boomerang collection, embraces the user with thin, elegant, contemporary an architectural lines, always reminding us to the object it borrows its name from, the boomerang. The Boomerang bar stool comes with or without a backrest, it is the result of enlarging the chair, adapting its shape to an ergonomic position according to the new ways of our day to day urban life.

In the same way as the animal it borrows its name from, the Okapi, which front side reminds us to a giraffe and the back side to a zebra, the Okapi armchair reveals a striking contrast between its front side with rounded beech wooden legs and its back side with its metal lacquered legs in the shape of a clip. Is that extreme contrast what brings Okapi to live and provides it with a very strong personality. The schematic lines that give form to Okapi have helped to create a very ergonomic and versatile armchair that results in an elegant, edgy and comfortable product. In Missana we have reinforced the exceptional design by PerezOchando with an extreme upholstery selection with texture & color duality that emphasizes the contrast in which the designers based their inspiration.

The Trampolin chair has grown up into a high end bar stool in which we can still appreciate the characteristic schematic lines that define this sophisticated and comfortable product, increasing this way the possibilities of the outstanding Trampolin family with a bar stool that it is suitable for the trendiest contract & hospitality projects. Unlike other bar stools Trampolin offers a modern but contemporary design at the same time, it is perdurable and extremely comfortable thanks to the padded upholstery due to which it already is a product under high demand in the market, all with a unique and exclusive design. Trampolín is a very chameleonic bar stool, its challenging structure seems to be suspended in a weightless state, almost floating. The Block Collection designed by the well known Valencia based studio MUT Design, is a collection with endless possible combinations, but that initially includes two sofas, a three and a one seater sofas. A collection with an amazing design inspired by the construction blocks games and the uncontrollable opposites attraction. Block is a collection that reunites in a unique way trendy design, comfortable sofas, timeless pieces and exclusive products, the final result, an awesome collection suitable for the best contract & hospitality projects, where Missana already is a reference brand. In the Block Collection the hardness and symmetry of their structures harmoniously conunteracts visually and phisically with their comfortable seats, backrests and cover removable cushions, uncontrollable opposites attraction that results in awesome and unique products.

Pop is an appealing sofa with a unique circular shape, which makes it suitable for different spaces: hotel halls, waiting areas, airports and shopping centers among many others. The design by Pepe Albargues has four seats radially distributed, making possible different uses, for both individual and multiple seatings. Among the renewals for its relaunching, Missana includes the option of incorporating up to four trays between the seats, available in wood, terrazzo, metal and marble, and offers two finishes for the legs: metal and wood. Missana reedits a classic of their collection with this relaunch, projecting a continuity of a unique seating typology, born out of the necessity in contract projects.

Missana launches the Trampolín bench designed by Cuatro Cuatros, a three-seater bench which stands out of the crowd with its unique twist of the Bauhaus-inspired structure and the weightlessness of its seat and backrest, that seem to be suspended, almost floating, daring to surprise everyone’s perception. The Trampolín bench is mainly oriented to contract projects, offering new possibilities with a typology of seating very demanded in the hospitality and restaurant environments. The Agora Petit is an armchair designed to offer maximum comfort while being compact enough to easily fit into restaurants, bars, hotel rooms, shops, waiting areas or any other public space. Inspired by the volumes of the upholstered furniture from the 1970s, Agora Petit is a revision of the forms of a decade that is now back and very present in the style and trends. A sculptural armchair, with simple lines and reduced dimensions, it is the result of having been designed to meet the needs of contract and hospitality projects, in which it seeks to optimize the space without compromising maximum comfort and aesthetics.
