The Spanish Federation of Enterprises of Habitat, FEDERHÁBITAT, is the state organization that brings together the territorial and subsectoral associations of the Spanish furniture industry with the aim of defending and supporting the interests of its entrepreneurs. The furniture sector in Spain has 15,369 companies (DIRCE 2012), 74,300 workers (EPA Data 3rd quarter 2013), and has an annual turnover of 5,662.4 million euros (EIE 2011). Since its creation in 1989, it offers companies in the sector a series of services and activities aimed at increasing their competitiveness and enhancing the image of the sector in all areas, aware that partnerships are the optimal channel for adopting solid strategies for growth and Modernization, and strengthen its national and international position.
